Mission Statement

(GATCF) is primarily designed to enhance the teaching and learning goals for currently enrolled students and staff of James Cook University (JCU).

About GATCF

The facilities span 3 campuses encompassing Townsville, Cairns and Mackay, and include 866 desktop units in 35 individual facilities.

Documentation clarifying GATCF issues, i.e. access, room booking, security, facilities available and other general topics, follows and will be based according to your status as either an Internal or External Client of JCU.

Definition of JCU Clients

Internal Clients

Currently enrolled students of JCU or currently employed staff ofJCU.

Room bookings are available to staff where ALL the participants using the facility are currently enrolled JCU students.

External Clients

Anyone who is not a currently enrolled student or staff member of JCU.

Any currently employed staff member presenting an event, course etc, using a GATCF facility that partly or wholly involves participants who are not currently enrolled students or employed staff of JCU.
