This Unit is responsible for providing IT Services & Support to James Cook University staff and students, for the General Access and Teaching Computing Facilities (GATCF) and for negotiation and maintenance of software agreements. Its responsibilities include capacity planning, selection, management and provision of hardware and software and maintenance of hardware and software, necessary to provide:

Site license management, deployment and access control for negotiated campus wide software licenses;

Management and faculty/school liaison for General Access and Teaching Computing Facilities (GATCF) and software; and

Advice, management and day to day service for hardware in support of general computing, general access and teaching facilities, and administrative computing.
